Who are we?

Belsouth Junior Soccer Club caters for boys and girls from age 4 up to those turning 18 this calendar year. It officially draws from those living or attending school in Aranda, Bruce, Cook, Hawker, Macquarie and Weetangera. Some of our players live or attend school in Page and Scullin and others come from the wider Canberra area.

Players turning 7 and over this year play in the Capital Football Junior League while our Peewees programme caters for younger players.

See Parent Info for lots of useful information for parents, coaches and managers.

Belsouth Junior Soccer Club is an incorporated club that was formed in 1970. Belsouth is a full member of both the ACT Soccer Federation (Capital Football) and the Junior League Management Committee which is the controlling body for junior soccer in the ACT.

We're affiliated with the Belconnen United Soccer Club (the senior players’ club) and sponsored by the Belconnen Soccer Club:

Where do we play?

Belsouth’s home games are played at Hawker Grounds 1 (Murranji St) and 2 (Walhallow St). Peewees (Under 5+6) sessions are always at Walhallow St on Saturday 10.30am and Wednesday 4.00pm, and run for an hour (they do not train). Under 7-10s play away games at Latham, Nicholls, Yass and Dickson. Juniors (Under 11-18s) play in a Canberra-wide competition.

Where do we train?

Training sessions are held at fields in the Aranda or Hawker areas.

Why do the kids get all the fun?

There's no reason for the kids to have all the fun. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate in a variety of ways. You do not have to be a soccer expert to be involved!

On match days you could help your child's team with its field set-up, run a sideline, or help in the canteen.

A deeper and extremely rewarding experience is to participate as a manager or coach. We're also always on the look-out for referees and this is an opportunity that is open to older children as well.

Belsouth's committee and other official positions are staffed entirely by volunteers. Our AGM is held early in the year (check this website, or follow us on Twitter) but we're always ready to accept help offered at any time.
